I'm also interested in the possibility of adding shapes to a referenced model, specifically a shape plot. I looked at it a little last week, and I think it could be possible if you could modify the contents of a shape cluster on a referenced model, or perhaps point the clustershapecombiner op to something else somewhere in the scene. I have a feeling that if this was even possible it would be pretty heinous though and given our short schedule here I moved on, but it would still be a handy way of getting around some of the pretty awful caching schemes that are out there.

Anyone have a workaround to this:

I'm working in a scene with a referenced model and I need to add some shape to it. So I go back to the master model in a new XSI and create a couple of new shapes. Now when I load the original scene back into XSI there's no new shape clip in there. So then I save the shape out as a preset and load it into the scene. Fine, that works. Until I reload the scene. The shape's on the track but it's having no effect on the model.

I don't believe it's not possible to add shapes to reference models. Anyone?

Cheers.
