Kim: Once again: thanks, for pointing me in the right direction! It was definitely user-related, altho it didn't seem like it. It all boiled down to the shader being installed under the wrong account, while rush was rendering from the correct account.
I don't think I'll walk into that trap again. Thanks everyone!

Check what is the name of user when account was made, for example user
folder or documents and settings. If windows user account is renamed it
still runs as original name. This is kind of bug in windows so it may help.
