I had a tool that would run an xsi script from vi a while back. Gvim is OLE compliant so you can, from xsi, make it save to a temp file then run that temp file. I’ve not used it for a while but when I did it was more than useful.

I’ve also seen gvim run in a rudimentary way inside a display host window. I’d really like to see that taken further.

For "standard" scripting, xsi script editor is the best for me.
Ok, there are no colors, no way to reduce functions display, but... the "Run" button make all the difference ! :-)

I find external text editor useful only with self installing plugin.
You right click on a plugin in the Plugin Manager, choose edit to open it in your favorite text editor, set some change then save
and update the plugin manager.
A "reload pluggin on focus" in the preference would be cool like with modified image clip. I set "Automatically reload externally modified scripts" in the preference but it doesn't update when I switch between Notepad++ and XSI. Did I miss something  ?

Cheers

No I think it's likely what Andy and Kim suggested.

Cutting and pasting and editing in external editors is definitely rife with these potential errors.

Is it a problem with the font that your editor is using?
(and if so, can you change it?)
