I just tried the automatic file update with self installing plugin ( in this case alt+tab doesn't update the plugins...).
But I will give it a try with scripts, thanks for the information Bernard !

Ctrl+S, Ctrl+tab to switch back to XSI, run script. More work, but at
least I get my colors and nice features.
