Hi all,
Thanks to Jennifer Goldfinch for getting me involved with this list!
I've been working with Softimage for about three weeks now. My role is the
Business Development Manager for XSI|Foundation. If you have any suggestions,
comments or would just like to drop me a line about XSI, please feel free to
ping me at leonard_teo(at)softimage.com.
I had been planning to leave Ballistic since the beginning of the year as I
wanted to move on to new things. I started CGTalk in 2001, so it was about time
to move on to new opportunities. I'm very proud to have taken
CGSociety/Ballistic as far as it's come, building the company up to 20 staff,
publishing the world's best CG books and building an awesome community for the
CG industry. I want to match this success by bringing my skills as an
entrepreneur and 3D nut to the Softimage team.
Gene asked what this means for CGSociety - I left Ballistic over a month ago on
good terms and continue to be an equity partner -- though I have nothing to do
with the day to day running of the company, I still shout from the sidelines.
As you can see, CGSociety is still going strong, a testament to the team that
we put together and trained. CGS is launching CGJobs in December and there is a
Call for Entries for EXPOSÉ 5, which all XSI artists should be involved in.
My goal is to bring balance to the 3D force.
Leo

Crazy! I didn't see that one coming. I'm curious, how does this affect
CGNetworks sites?
Oh and welcome to the dark side Leo.
