Outputting viewports seems really nice, but if can't use it outside XSI it seems unecessary. 
However I got another tip, nVidia Quadro 5500 SDI can output a region of the screen to a broadcast monitor through SDI, it seems like a flexible solution to me.

I'd like to know if anyone is using that solution, please raise your hand if you do :)

We've positively used Mojo for output last March. We have used the driver intalled with xsi 5.x and NOT installed, as requested first time you run XSI with MOJO connected, the firmware, because that particular MOJO was shared with an XPress workstation.

The actual version of MOJO has In/Out SDI & analog & REF IN/OUT, so you can use any kind of monitoring solution, BUT ONLY in the XSI ambient (or other AVID apps)

If you need to monitor Nuke and AE you cannot use MOJO. We use Bluefish since 2 year and we found is a good choice for Uncompressed SD/HD workflow, but you can use any kind of card with AE (aja xena, decklink, matrox).

We want to output to a video reference monitor from our 3D workstations. Is anyone using Avid Mojo with XSI? What do you need, and what can you do with it in XSI? We'd also like to use it to output from Nuke (somehow) and AfterEffects.
If Mojo is too limiting, what's a good alternative? Is Bluefish444 a good choice?

If anyone have have any experience to share I'd love to hear it!
