Get a DirectX10 compliant chip, if possible.
I guess you´re biased towards Linux but in
case you ever want a Vista, that´s be a good idea.

Nvidia just announced a new 88xx something Geforce,
the Quadro should be available accordingly.

Cheers

Hi All,
Sorry for the non XSI specific question, but in a way it's related :)

I'm especially eager to hear for the Linux users about this. I'm about
to do a little hardware upgrade. And even though I'm happy with my
Quadro4, it's a AGP and doesn't fit in the newer motherboards.

So... should I go with

a.) QUADRO FX 1500

or

b.) GEFORCE 7950GT

The quadro card is about 1.8 times more expensive, but given how long
my quadro4 has lasted in performance I'm almost willing to pay that
extra.

Any thoughts anyone?

p.s. ATI Linux users may also answer....
