So what your saying is that your whole team couldn't do what one person can and did... and then more? hehe ;-)

Just buy Holger a sixer and ask him nicely when he's on his 5th or so to develop RoyalRenderLite and then bundle it with XSI. Seriously, please take a look at Backburner. It's simple and to the point but works every time. Then people with more needs could still buy the full on RoyalRender.

There was a major problem with Batchserv for my team, it's that it's very complicated and time-consuming to develop, and test.  It's a collection of utilities and technology, from web scripting to SQL and there is all the rendering working side of things plus the OS issues and in many cases the hand-holding to install it.

It would take a lot of investement in developement, testing and resources, to do this kind of product justice, and it takes time and focus away from developing and testing XSI.

There are other batch rendering tools out there like Royal Render that are done by people who really know they stuff and are very experienced in this market.  A couple manager a few years ago were really excited about making this into a product, however they under-estimated the complexity of the tool and how much of a strain it would put on our team.
