Maybe it's not the case but sometimes happens  similar thing to me. When I'm rendering scene with boujou or just other match moved camera which  normaly includes tracking nulls (>100 of nulls) the render  takes 3x more time  and it does not matter if they are hidden or not.  If I delete them render works normaly then. I don't get it why nulls which normaly couldn't render slows down the render  but this is my experience.
