Kim, it's pretty fast actually. I didn't do any tests personally against mr but I heard that mr is still faster.

I tried raytracing in 3Delight and now in PRMan.

In PRMan 13 you have point-based approximate ambient occlusion (say that 10 times fast...) and brickmaps which is REALLY nice.
