Something that happens a lot. Sometimes when you hit that menu item then change your mind, the deactivate option is the one that gets picked by default, often without you realizing it.

Never mind, figured it out, the curves were set to be inactive in the fcurve editor...

Hey all,

 

anyone ever seen fcurves that look like the attached Gif? The key button is white instead of the normal pink/green and the curve itself is a dotted line, all other objects in the scene display fcurves normally.
