Great decision!

You all just bought yourselves some extra time to sleep!
Oh yeah, I forgot, we don't get enough time to sleep as it is in
production...!

In any case, congrats Bernard. Good luck with the show!

I wish to say a BIG thank to everyone who contributed to this
discussion. When I sent the email that started it, I was not thrilled
about the idea of animating in a master scene (for the reasons I
mentioned and those brought by you), but wanted to keep an open mind
and see if there were actually major advantages that would have
justified it.

Also, the majority of the custom tools suggested to handle such a
pipeline are already available here. My concern were not so much about
custom tools and development, but really a management and human errors
one. Thanks again for all the input.

The good news is that the answers I got were so well formulated and in
tune that I printed the whole discussion and gave a copy to the
persons taking the final decision.

That convinced them that their plan was not such a good idea as it
first seemed and they finally abandoned the idea of doing any
character animation in a master scene. :-D

Cheers!!
Bernard
