hi franky,
go for it, i have pretty much the ame setup here, dell 24" and a iiyama 22" CRT, works very nice
with the quadroFX 3000.

I hope this remains after i have my new machine. I will put a decent gamecard
in the new machine because I think that directX is the way for the next few years, so why to spend money
into a high end open gl card then when not working on CAD software.

have fun with your new setup!

cya,
daniel

that is exactly what i am planning to do. i had two 21" crt's where one is dead now.
i will use the second one as second monitor and the new 24" as main one.

In my opinion, the ideal setup for any sort of generalist
workstation is
a 24" widescreen monitor coupled with a CRT running at 1600x1200.
