hi franky,
go for it, i have pretty much the ame setup here, dell 24" and a iiyama
22" CRT, works very nice
with the quadroFX 3000.
I hope this remains after i have my new machine. I will put a decent
gamecard
in the new machine because I think that directX is the way for the next
few years, so why to spend money
into a high end open gl card then when not working on CAD software.
have fun with your new setup!
cya,
daniel

that is exactly what i am planning to do. i had two 21" crt's where
one is dead now.
i will use the second one as second monitor and the new 24" as main one.

to shape my oppinion!

In my opinion, the ideal setup for any sort of generalist
workstation is
a 24" widescreen monitor coupled with a CRT running at 1600x1200.
