At the end of his making-of he shows a new pose and you can see abit of the structure of the skin.
I think his shading works well for high-key lighting situations.
But he has also done a good work on the compositing for the camera-flash look.
Color shifts are there. But he also uses some ammount of grain for the images, which helps, too.
Hmm, just have to see the shading it on my own. There could always be a bit cheating, if you have stills...
