This mailing list is going to hundreds of professionals around the world and it
is for peer support between professionals using XSI. It would be best if it weren't
used for demands for attention, demands for official responses, daily fits.
This tools is needed to communicate with artists about their workflow
and production issues, this is what this tool was created for. There are other
avenues to reach support and sales. If you don't get answers there, it's
probably because there are many other users, all around the world who also
have questions and issues.
I think you violated your XSI 5.0 Foundation license agreement by installing it on multiple machines,
and now you're upset that 6.0 actually enforces this as a side effect of introducing unified SPM
licensing, which is more convenient for studios, delivering QFEs, etc. Fine, people get it. Point taken.
But I think no one can answer your grievance here. If anyone can, I think they shouldn't be expected
to do so immediately during Christmas diner or during the release rush. As far as I can tell the one
license per machine policy was published as far back as the Foundation 4.2 FAQ and has not
changed.
Softimage is not a consumer product, it's not designed and sold that way, and
Foundation comes with strings attached. That's just the way it is; XSI is an expensive
professional program and Foundation is grossly underpriced for what it is.

I am no longer available to organize or promote any events regarding XSI.
Feel free to take over and create your own meetings.
I am very sorry since I had a lot of fun with some of you guys, but I am finally pissed off enough with Softimage to let it go.
