Yeah, like really nice little tasters of how to make the wave tips spray.
And then you realise they're emitting particles from the whole ocean
surface, just killing them if they're below a certain level and to all
intents and purposes it's useless because it can't handle that many
particles, dead or not..
There was a nice example on XSIbase, someone using turbulated ambient
occlusion to get foam texture around shores and objects in water. And Vue
has a nice thing that uses vertical distance to objects behind the water
surface to mask in foam texture, but these are only surface texture.
When fluids finally do get into xsi there's going to be a lot of very
disappointed people. No matter what you have to work with, water, fluids are
horrible, horrible to work with. No-one should be expecting anything but a
world of pain, no matter how good the tools are.
