I imported a clip of mocap animation.  The mocap only drives the main controllers and not secondary controllers, so when I add a layer, I lose access to the base layer.  I could plot everything, but obviously this is not ideal  I would prefer to simply selecte the base layer and keyframe objects that have no animation that way.

I just tried this with a local model, and the same problem happens.  There is no base layer selectable in the animation Later Manager.

Can someone else try this to confirm that this is not just an issue on my workstation?

Did you plot the mocap on the rig ?

Subject: 6.0 animation Layer Troubles

I am applying a mocap clip to a reference model so that I can correct it using animation layers.

The problem is that when I apply the animation layer, the base layer track remains blank, so I cannot select it.  This means that any object in my model with no key frames to begin with cannot be animated  because I am unable to select the base layer.

Unfortunately when I collapse the animation layer, XSI crashes.

Any suggestions or is this a bug?
