I just discovered what the
problem was.
It appears there is some
refresh problem with the default embedded layer manager. I opened a floating
layer manager, expanded it and a base layer popped up. ;-)
I also widened the size of
the embedded layer manager and that too refreshed to reveal the base layer. Weird.
Definitely looks like a
bug to me, albeit a far less severe one that I assumed. A graphics driver
problem maybe?

Subject: 6.0 animation Layer
Troubles
I am applying a mocap
clip to a reference model so that I can correct it using animation layers.
The problem is that when
I apply the animation layer, the base layer track remains blank, so I cannot
select it. This means that any object in my model with no key frames to
begin with cannot be animated because I am unable to select the base
layer.
Unfortunately when I
collapse the animation layer, XSI crashes.
Any suggestions or is
this a bug?
