It took me a while to figure out how to change the render options for a bunch of passes which was much simpler in 5.11. Having found the widget to localise the global mr props to a pass (in itself a good thing, I like the global and local ideas) I felt better as it was me not looking properly rather than the functionality not being there.
I would say however that the interface side of it still needs work, eg - when you click on a pass I want to see all the properties associated with that pass. Now I have to expand the pass in the explorer to get to the property widget, 2 clicks instead of one, which slows down my workflow. I don't doubt for a minute that the under the hood changes are going to make life easier but it now seems like I have four windows instead of one. The render manager I assume is an addon to help with the fact that rendering options have got more spread out but I still can't tweak multiple passes with it.
I'm certainly not wanting to be down on soft at all and I realise that there will be both a learning curve for people like me and perhaps a v6.1 at some point. I'm always excited by a new release and everyone at soft deserves a pat on the back.
I'm going to make a chicken stew now....
Andi

well don't hesitate to suggest ways to simplify
things anyway for more trivial scenario. We've
added the Render Manager addon to regroup
things a bit
