Got a vague idea that just occurred to me for this.
A simplified page for the pass - all options that are local to the
pass appear normally - options inherited are in italics. So visually
it feels like it's in one page - perhaps a toggle button at the top
which switches between editing shared properties, making shared
properties local on change and defaults to only changing local
properties - so people don't accidentally change inherited settings.
Kinda taking the way things work in the explorer into the property
page.
