Those links are for an "early access" version of the
plug-in that you can download and use "as is".
No new functionality is included. The plugin is a recompiled
version of the 5.0 FBX plug-in.
*We are working on building a Linux version of the FBX plug-in.
** The FBX import and export commands are on the File >
Crosswalk menu.

I
don't think the FBX plugin for 5 works for 6. You will probably have to
download the new one.

Subject: Maya camera and
scene to XSI (Is the FBX addon broken?)
I have a job where a Maya artist(v7 on a Mac)
needs to send me his camera move and a little geometry. It looks like
they don't have a dotXSI export plugin for Mac on the Softimage site, so we're
looking at either Collada or FBX. I tried to install the FBX addon
in XSI 6.0 but it never shows up in the menu. Does the 5.0 addon not work
in 6? Would I be better sticking to Collada or would FBX be the best for
this situation?
Thanks for any insight...
