This is one of the big limitations of syflex in my opinion -- the inability to animate nails and pins (unless someone knows a way to do it?). When we had this come up we used XSI Cloth with a live GATOR op driving a weightmap mapped to the nail property. So, when we moved the GATOR control object to project 0 weight, the cloth would get released. Of course, we did that to control a bunch of nails at once. If you just have one nail, you should be able to just animate it directly.

Is it possible for you to use the zippers (or other new features in Syflex) in version 6 and point oven a mesh back?

I have everything working in my syflex sim just fine... except for the
releasing part. Seems as though nails and pins don't work when i animate
their mute function.

So, anyone have a suggestion on how i can approach this in a way syflex
will be happy about?

I'm stuck in xsi 5.1 until my current show wraps.

Thanks!
