Do you use referenced model ?
Did you try Point Oven ?

In fact the guys of the studio already tried to plot curves : same =
results.

=20

I knew that batch serve was only a way of managing rendering without xsi
interface, but I precised it because the differents is that it send 1 =
frame
to 1 computer instead of 1 frame rendered on several computers =
(distributed
rendering).

=20

Can we surely say that the shapes are not involved in the issue ?
(distributed rendering and standalone rendering works well)

=20

What kind of informations does the batch app send to the machines that =
could
disable the shapes on random frames ?

Thank you

Hi Julien,

Batchserve is just an application to start xsi without the user =
interface (
the xsi batch app ). If your frames are rendered, thenit looks like
batchserve did the job. If the shape are not correctly rendered, then it
looks like xsi ( xsi batch ) didn't do its job.=20

I used batchserve in a company with more than 50 rendering machines and =
it
works correctly. In fact it works only if there is a "php specialist" to
debug the free batchserve given with xsi.

Maybe try a plot shape or a point oven before sending to the rendering ? =

Hi everybody ,=20

I'm new here so lets first introduce myself,

I'm Julien from Paris (France), Using XSI for 4 or 5 years now. I'm not
specialized in one part of 3D.=20

I'm doing as well rendering than modeling rigging props or characters.

Working on a 52x7 minutes full 3D animation serie called OzieBoo.

=20

----

=20

My first question here will be about Batchserve rendering and Blend =
Shapes.

=20

I've done a character rig with facial blend shapes using that kinds of
expression to blend the shapes :

=AB cond( PBlue.ctrl_mouth.kine.local.posy > 0,
PBlue.ctrl_mouth.kine.local.posy, 0 ) * cond(
PBlue.ctrl_mouth.kine.local.posx > 0, 1, 1 +
PBlue.ctrl_mouth.kine.local.posx / 2 ) =BB

=20

The problem is that the studio that is using my characters has problem =
with
facial shapes at rendering. Random rendered frames have the neutral =
facial
shape instead of the right shapes keyed with the controls. So when =
playing
the animation the facial expressions =AB jitters =BB or =AB pops =BB =
(not sure of
translation)

=20

They're using BatchServe with about 10 rendering machine.=20

It seems that bad frames are not always rendered by the same computer.=20

5 characters have the same rig (exactly the same) and on the bad frames =
all
goes to neutral shape so it didn't depend of the shape used or the value
keyed.

=20

When testing the same scenes rendered on one computer or with rayhost =
there
are no problems.

=20

Does someone have an idea of where the problem could come from ?

Is batchserve reliable for big productions ?

=20

Thanks very much for yours answers.
