We did just finish a complex creature project in XSI. Our first time pushing a project through XSI as the primary application. Maya has been our primary application for some time now and I was hopping that this project would turn that around. The problem managment has always had with XSI is finding artists. We spent weeks trying to find experienced XSI artists.
I'd also like to openly thank Graham, Adam, Ben and Scaron for all their help. We were really lucky that they were available and could come onboard. The project could not have been done without them. Thanks Guys.
We still have XSI in the arsenal, as well as LW and Max. But Maya will remain the primary tool around here simply because it's easier to find artists.
Bummer....

they were already Maya house nothing has really changed. Recently the used XSI on a project to test it out. Due to talent being some what scarce and that santa maria is no hot spot, they need to be able to source more talent, more regularly, so they go Maya.
pretty simple really. they still will need other applications to do tough tasks. so there is no reason for them not to renew their licenses. Cafe is a generalist shot really and will use the tool that gets the job done.
