Thanks Francois,

I was afraid that would be the answer. I second your hopes for more x64 development

Thanks again

John

Premiere and the avi codec that it uses are compiled in 32bit. Your XSI is compiled in 64bit and requires all its dlls (plugins, codecs, shaders) to be compiled in 64bit as well. If that particular codec doesn't exist in 64bit, then you're screwed. This is the main drawback of 64bit applications, not all plugins are available to them yet.

If someone was to create a scene in XSI 32bit with a Quicktime movie as a texture on an object, and pass that scene on to someone on XSI 64bit, that person would not be able to render the scen properly because Quicktime doesn't exist in 64bit.

Let's be patient and hope for more developers to support 64bit apps when they write plugins.

I have XSI 6.0 on x64 and I’m trying to import an AVI (DV) from Premier Pro on the same system and can’t get it to work in XSI. I can play the AVI from the desktop and within Premier but cannot import it into XSI. I’ve tried four different AVI exports from Premier but to no avail. Any ideas what I could do

Thanks
