Hey Chris,
Thanks for your reply.
I've got two liquids to mix together into one mesh, using weighmaps as you
can see here. Even though the mix works, I guess, not exactly how I wanted.
The colours dont really ever blend properly, but it is using one mesh, so
its a step forward.

This next version shows what happens if each liquid has its own mesh,
obviously the colours aren't ever going to mix, if only they could, would
look really nice.

Any ideas?

Duncan,
That *is* the way you mix Realflow colours in XSI! They just never mix
very well.
I think what's happening is that each particle never actually becomes
'mixed' with any other. So, if you have a black particle moving next to a
white particle, you get grey (more or less), but if they move apart again,
they return to their original black and white properties. This, of course,
is bananas. Once mixed to 50% of each, they should always stay like that,
but it just doesn't happen that way.
This is with Realflow 3. I don't know if this is different in 4.

Hi all
I while back someone posted a rendertree screenshot from NextLimit i
think, showing how to get mixed liquids to properly mix colour in xsi.
Does anybody remember the link to that jpg?
Basically this post:

I can get liquids to mix in xsi with weighmaps, but not actually colour
changes, so say white and black liquids become grey etc
cheers
