Hi -

I am pleased to announce two upcoming events, one in Vancouver, one in NYC. These are the first of hopefully many more, so if you don't see your city listed, feel free to let us know that you are interested, and we'll keep the info on file for when we plan the next ones. (Also, we are looking at holding an on-line event - stay tuned!)

During our XSI 6 Launch Tour we are holding seminars in New York and Vancouver entitled Train the Trainers: Tips and Ticks on teaching SOFTIMAGE|XSI.

During these events, representatives from Digital Tutors will be giving a “How to Teach XSI”  refresher course for educators, teachers, freelance trainers and in-house studio instructors.

The course outline will be as follows:

-         Speaking the Same Language - Exploring how XSI can be customized to individual artists
-         Playing Nice with Others - Utilizing XSI Crosswalk to import assets from other 3D apps
-         Color Theory 101 - Discovering the various ways of working with materials in XSI
-         Get Up & Get Moving - Using XSI’s animation tools to give your characters motion
-         To Bee or Not To Bee - Using XSI’s particles to create a swarm of moving bees
-         Color Theory 201 - Using passes and channels to gain full control over your final renders

Feedback from these events will help sculpt and develop future Softimage Training Events and Curriculum.

Attendees should to have an understanding of 3D, and a willingness to learn how to apply the principles of 3D with SOFTIMAGE|XSI. It’s basic XSI training for the intermediate to advanced user.

Don’t miss this very special event!

Upon completion of the Train the Trainer seminar, attendees could be eligible to receive a 6-month trial license of XSI Advanced EDU and a complete set of training DVDs.

The events are being held in the following locations:

-         Vancouver - Thursday, February 8th - Marriot Pinnacle Downtown from 3-5pm
-         New York City – Tuesday, February 27th at the Roosevelt Hotel New York from 3-5pm

To register for Vancouver or New York, please email  your confirmation to  TRAIN(at)SOFTIMAGE.COM and state in which city you are interested in attending.  Please note:  due to space limitations, Train the Trainer sessions are only available to educators, instructors and trainers. We will be in touch with you shortly for qualification. If there are places remaining, we will accommodate additional attendees on a first come, first serve basis.
