Anyone know of a list of resources for creating immersive environments for
VR using XSI. We have a client interested in producing a VR set up for
people with prosthetics.

http://www.zgdv.de/avalon/

I´ve been lecturing a Maya fundamentals class at HfG Offenbach,
we have a HEyeWall there plus the above Avalon tools, may be
worth checking it out. Collada supported, the guys use mostly Rawkee.
http://rawkee.sourceforge.net/
I haven´t been directly involved in the above but provided geometry
and scenedata from both Maya and XSI in various formats for trials,
XSI is (in my personal opion) superior for generating sourcegeometry
and (baked) textures.

I could hook you up with the guys at HfG fiddling with the stuff
but won´t be able to provide any further info/assistance, I got me
a replacement notification today :-)

Cheers

tim

least an idea where to look for ideas. Does anyone on the list create
environments for VR using XSI and be willing to shed some light on this
area. We are quite interested in pursing this project

Thanks
