You will need Python installed.
http://softimage.wiki.avid.com/sdkdocs/abd457728.htm
There is a preset in the plugin called "Video HDTV 2/3" 16:9 sensor" which should
be pretty close to what you need.

a project is coming up where we will do some serious et enheancements. i know the
camera which will be used
on set and i will be there too. i would like to replicate the camera as close as
possible beofre the shoot,
so i can work out a good animatic that will match the view angles and FoV of the
real world.
the camera is a Sony DVW 970WSP,
http://bssc.sel.sony.com/BroadcastandBusiness/DisplayModel?m=0&p=2&sp=11&id=79174
<http://bssc.sel.sony.com/BroadcastandBusiness/DisplayModel?m=0&p=2&sp=11&id=79174>
the lenses will be a Fujinon 7.8x22 and a Fujinon 4,8x10
i dont really know for sure how to replicate the camera in xsi. i know all the
properties of a xsi camera
and guess that the focal length is equal to the one that will be set on the lens,
but whats with the film
aperture? has this anything to do with the CCD chip and its size? and if so, how
the numbers relate to each
other?
thanks a lot folks
