As far as the description of the new FG method goes, the workflow has not changed.
You still need one pre-generated FG file, which is used by all machines (you can render every x frame, if your camera is not moving
fast).
Perhaps set the pre-density higher.
The difference is:
Usally you have FG points generated in a pre-render stage.
Then the image is rendered and if the renderer has not enough FG points in one area, it generates some more on the fly.
Those FG points generated in the main render phase can differ from frame to frame.
The new Mutli-frame method does not compute FG points in the main render phase.
=> less flicker from frame to frame.
