it might not do the job of 30 people, but when a dept is responsible for the main digital character in a flick, that dept being late could prevent a dozen or more animators from working until something is done. In those situations saving a couple days for the right person can translate into a few thousand hrs you save.

The opposite is also the reason why sometimes some people get phenomenally pissed off about a bug, because something that might look small and trivial to one person, might have meant 500+ hrs of wages in the bin because a row of desks working on a sequence was left with nothing to do while waiting for a TD to work around some crap.

bottlenecking in a pipe is a wonderful thing isn't it?

Wow, you serious? It's helped me numerous times for sure but that's pretty impressive. I can see the future now.....we're all out of jobs because of GATOR. XSI gets so good, it doesn't need us anymore. Thanks....thanks a lot Softimage :-)

    Dear Softimage,
Hybride owes you 2 days of my paycheck.
I just had to add a deforming, break-away leg to my 'Giant' rig
for 300 as it gets chopped off by a sword just above the knee.
     GATOR absolutely rocks.
     Cheers
