Yeh, kinda this technique, but wouldn't you want a small "Mute" checkbox
right there beside your stacks?
All the Deform, Particle Ops have it, just one more... :)

what about throwing a boolean switch inbetween your environment shader
and the environment slot? toggle it on/off that way?
