Glow, for example, is not a volume shader.
I can think of a number of ways to compare the object with and without
glow but basically,
you can't mute / unmute glow on the same object.
I guess adding more passes for every operator would solve this.
Rather than being picky here... :)

what about throwing a boolean switch inbetween your environment shader
and the environment slot? toggle it on/off that way?
