Hi Alan - I need to put it in the FG map tab in XSI - where you specify the FG map name - I have been using $COMPUTERNAME there but Suse seems not to like that!

Hi Sandy

You should use the "uname -n" command to check this. uname is standard
so it'll work on any linux (perhaps even posix) machine you happen to
use.

To use the output of a program's execution put it inside $() - between
the brackets.
