second that.
wether or not nCloth is any better than other cloth
simulators is not as important as how well it'll interoperate with other current
or upcoming tools.
even XSI's current fx tools would be a lot more
usable if only they would play nice between them.
And I would like to see this larger as just
simulation.
Simulation tools working together with rendering
tools is equally important, I'm thinking especially displacement and
procedurals.

Subject: Re: Maya's Nucleus! Looking
yummi!
Im afraid the only fantasy i see is pretending that dynamics
simulations are not interdependent.
I am not interested in the catch
phrase of the day,
I am interested in recognizing the need for all dynamic
simulations to communicate on common ground.
i will smile with glee the
moment pebbles affect my hot air balloon in the clouds and vise
versa.

problem is "Gerard at Syflex" isnt in a position to do
this.
a unified dynamics system isnt going to result from a plugin
developers
work, it will require far greater integration into the core of
xsi.
as it stands syflex is a great system, but its integration is
tenuous at
best.
i cant recall the last time i typed 0.00001 as a
reasonable value for
anything in xsi, it doesnt even recognize default
xsi forces.
i dont think its wise to rely to heavily on a plugin
developer for such
fundimental functionality.
by fundamental
functionality, i mean a unified dynamics system; syflex
has served it
purpose as a standalone cloth sim
well.
