Should work just fine.
If you have a directory like this:
C:\Basedir\Subdir
and you open a command prompt at c:\ you can enter:
dir Basedir\Subdir\..\Subdir\..\..\Basedir
and it will resolve the directory correctly to c:\Basedir

Just like with regular paths, use "[Project Path]\..\[blabla]"

and one last long shot,
is there any way to refer to the parent directory?
ie:
[Project Path][Parent Dir]\[sequences]\....
we arent using a standard xsi directory structure.
thanks

i am currently using these as my defaults:
[pass]\V
[Value Passes.ScaleBeauty.version.versionNumber]\[Pass]_V[Value Passes.ScaleBeauty.version.versionNumber]_[Frame #4]
the red bits are a custom parameter (integer) i have in each pass,
I want to find a way to make these generic? is there any way i can evaluate the current pass here?
while im on the subject do you all version passes independently?
or keep the versioning synced to the scene version?
