Hi there -
Just wanted to share some internal news with you - recently we had two new employees join our growing team, and we are thrilled to have them both on board!
Softimage Director of Product Management *Bill Roberts* is a 20-year veteran of the media and entertainment industry, with over 12 years in software development. Before joining Softimage, Bill held positions at Avid Technology, the CTV Television Network, and, most recently, at Autodesk, where he built and led the product management team for the Media and Entertainment Division, introduced the first new architecture in the company's history and helped to grow the business by over 50%. An expert in digital film, the Digital Intermediate Process, HDTV and the games industry, Bill is a frequent speaker on these topics, and overall technology trends. Bill holds a Bachelors Degree from Ryerson University in Toronto and currently resides in Montreal.
*Jeff Wilson* - Senior Production Artist, Special Projects - Based in our Venice, California office, Jeff Wilson joins the product management team responsible for Face Robot. Jeff joins us from BLUR Studio, where he was an Animation Supervisor, and worked on 45 minutes of animation for Disney's Twice Upon a Christmas and the animated short films Rockfish, In the Rough and A Gentleman's Duel, and many 3D game cinematics, commercial spots and feature film effects. Jeff also has extensive skills and experience working in the 3D games industry at Cyan, Inc. (MYST), Headspin Technologies, Inc. (lead animator and character creation), 8th Wonder Games (CG environments and character animation). Jeff worked very closely with our product development team on Face Robot and was invaluable in providing customer feedback and solutions as we brought this new facial animation technology to market.
