An excellent idea, works like a dream!
Didn't try the script yet since I don't know which materials I will be
looking for. But thanks Oz for sharing it, will come very handy in the
script library :)

Export your scene to an .mi2 file, then look for your texture paths
using the search tool in a text editor (or a command line tool such as
awk, sed, or grep). The shader definition blocks which contain the
texture path will tell you which objects are looking for it. Although
a bit more tedious, it will be more accurate than a query through
scripting because this is what mental ray sees. If something isn't
translating correctly, it'll stick out like a sore thumb.
You might want to run 'Delete unused sources and clips' to reduce
clutter in the .mi2 file.

Subject: Which shader is using texture
Hi there!
How can I find out, which shader is using specific texture?
I changed out some of the textures, but when starting to render, MR
still reports that it loads old texture. I cant figure out which
meshes are using still the shader with old texture...
Thanks,
T
