unfortunately we've switched current (long term)production onto v6 and
this morning v6.01 was hopefully installed.
So far this is random (5th time this morning) rather than reproducable. if
it does it again im gonna have to try and make it reproducable and report
a bug (or give up texturing with 6.01). I guess in v6 it is impossible to
have render region open and make *any* rendertree changes? Ive switched
the RR to update on right click only but am still getting 'error
021017:msg send to host31 failed' whenever ive made a 2nd change to a
setting in the rendertree and right click to update. This is unusable
with the amount of crashes im getting with simple texture and material
changes. Im going to have to go back to 5 just to work out my materials
in an interactive way then put this back into 6.
Ive had two straight to desktop crashes whilst unconnecting a texture in
the rendertree, 2 messages 'error 021017:msg send to host31 failed ' and
one 'unable to save scene before system crash' all with simply layering
two textures on top of each other with the mixer and a gradient. oof!
and its such a sunny day as well!
