Hi Darren!

I have had the same problem! So far, I haven't found a better way than FBX. It worked well on most scenes, although there was one, which it didn't like at all. I just couldn't open the file in XSI. You might want to try something like Deep Exploration. Haven't played around with that so far. If you find something, please share!
