Some other options....
dotXSI plugin for Maya. Or another way is using
COLLADA. COLLADA has been implemented since version 5.1 and you can
get the COLLADA importer/exporter for Maya at feelingsoftware.com you
have to register, but its free.
I haven't used COLLADA for XSI, but have use the Maya one to go to other programs and it seems to work nicely.
