In the jungle that's called HD for TV, that's a common typo and "basic"
formats used are1280x720p and 1920x1080i. (there are a lot more, but to keep all this "simple") Both are 16:9 aspect ratio, and the first is a progressive format with 60 fps, the second a interlaced format with 50fps. So XSI defaulting to 720p60 is correct. HD is a very confusing set of "standards" if you ask me ;-) There's some stuff on HD on wikipedia to get you going, here are the links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-definition_television http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/720p http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1080i Regards, Rob Wuijster Condor Digital www.condor.tv Willemsparkweg 80 1071HL Amsterdam +31 (0) 20 6712600 (T) +31 (0) 20 6713766 (F) digimata wrote: Is 720i (1280x720 interlace) a legitimate video format?--- Unsubscribe?
