My error, I meant to write animated render sub regions. I haven't used 6.0 in a while, is that actually in there yet?
Hehe, we have been requesting an animateable render region for quite some time now. After all, you might have a small object that travels from the lower left to the upper right of the screen, but why should you have to render the entire frame for every frame?

Worst case, it is possible to build your own custom tool that helps you do this.

I don't have XSI here with me, but in earlier versions it used to be like that, the render region tracked the selected object...
BTW is it possible to have RR, Render Selection more handy in XSI 6, as it used to be?

Cheers,
Nacho

OK here's adding to the wish-list.

1) A 'Track Selection'  in the render options along with 'Render Selection' for selective window-rendering for a sequence of frames.

Basically an animating region-rendering box. Especially good for overlapping objects. Thus far, Track Selection works well in region-render, but only for that frame. Unless of course, I'm missing something.... anyone?

thanks,
Cheers,
Prodeep
