Yeah, youâre probably right. Itâs going to be script, isnât it.

GATOR does not seem to want to transfer edge clusters. I'm attempting to do shape animation ops or something else GATOR handles on edge clusters, but so far no luck!
Even if it does work, it's going to be a tough sell for the desigers. :-)

Last time I tried this, some time back, it was time consuming because you had to do proximity tests on all points. These days, though,  there must be some way to use gator for this?

So now that we're successfully using Kim's Roadkill plugin, the
texturing artists are asking if there is any way to get symmetry from an
edge selection. They want to be able to spend their time selecting their
unwrap edges on one half of the geometry, then get a symmetrical edge
selection for the other side, then pipe it through the Roadkill plugin.

I tried storing an edge selection into a cluster, then doing a duplicate
symmetry, but edge clusters are not passed via merge operations. Unless
there is a tool somewhere or a clever workaround I haven't found, this
may be something that needs to be scripted.
