i was wondering why i couldn't see it in the prefs ppg, and since it wasn't logging anything. i was looking for a parameter to change somewhere but not luck.

Also, if you are using the UpArrow hotkey for playback then it plays all frames and you need to use Shift+UpArrow to activate real-time playback. Another idea would be to remap realtime playback to a more convenient hotkey.

I have been looking through the interaction section of the prefs and i can't seem to spot where these modes are specified. if you click the playback button, you can switch it there, but i need to set it as a preference so it is always real-time playback. It also isn't logged as a command or anything to help me look for the pref.
