Sounds like you may have faced the same problem as I did on the roadkill plugin. If it is and you’d prefer not to use Gator, I worked a fix based on some code from Frederic valleur.

Answered my own question...had to mute the envelope before exporting the object too either Roadkill or UV Layout. Then GATOR worked perfectly.
