Would meditaion balls work?

http://www.handhealth.com/ctb_all.asp

I have a pair of these, I use them for their intended
purpose, but I always thought they could easily be
used to shoot. I've dropped them on a tile floor and
not left a mark.

I think you can get in sizes ranging 35-73mm.

They're steel I believe. Also inexpensive, easily
replaceable, and they make a nice chiming sound. Good
also if you have carpal tunnel symptoms.

Depending where you live, you may even be able to pick
up some locally, if you have martial arts suppliers or
an Asian district/"Chinatown".
