Sainsbury's Doit have some nice large steel balls. Not optically perfect but
around 30 cm diameter. You may find them online, I've not looked.

UNless you need optically perfect results (like for REALLY clean hi-res reflection maps to be relfected razor sharp) then the garden gazing balls work quite well. They are available in a variety of sizes. Something like this: http://www.amazon.com/Silver-Stainless-Steel-Gazing-Globe/dp/B000OTA1LA

Though we buys our locally for around $25US for the 10inch. They have a collar on them that can be easily made to fit on a 5/8" stud (like a C-stand) with a simple bushing you can drill out of wood or something similar.

They are not optically perfect by any means, but they make a great HDR capture for lighting, and also just fine for most reflections maps, unless, as I mentioned above, you have something requiring perfect reflections.
