i recall any clip effects wont merge, the cycles need to be keyed in,
i dont have access to tools right now or I send it, but at cafefx i
made a couple mixer cycle aid tools.
One of them simply read number of cycles there were and duped the clip
that many times (then you can merge it as one with them), and if there
were other effects made a new source and clip of it first.

XSI really needs to revisit the linearity of their non-linear editor.
