On a related issue:
The FCurve.Scale () (new
in version 6) method seems to have an error where if the key values or time is
in negative space the method will fail. If anyone have any experience with why
it would do that or anything I am possibly overlooking please do let me know.

I use Action Sources myself. Put the curve or curves in there, change
the string name of the ActionSourceItem to the Target parameter, then apply
Action.
You mean like a preset?
